Approaching One Another

I have discovered that in relatiohips, we often become afraid to talk to one another about certain issues we may be having. Like we haven't been going out and seeing each other every day and suddenly you're afraid to tell them that you hate their new haircut? Give me a break! I think the closer we get to people the harder it becomes to tell them things that we can blurt out to complete strangers. And why is that you can tell someone you just met all about how you got so bullied when you were in high school because you were overweight and unpopular and had really bad breath, but you can't tell your best friend of 18 years that you hate her boyfriend?

Yo that makes a lot of sense. People can be mad open to strangers but not friends a lot of the time. However I think it has something to do with the fact that you see your friends more often and people don't want their friends to look at them in a negative light. Its almost safer to do with strangers.

heres what i think it is when some1 is complete stranger you dont really care about their personal opinion of you then when you get to know someone really well you care more than anything what they think of you but then you can find that one person that crosses back into being able to tell them anything

Shaniece,
I completely agree with you on this topic. It truly is hard to tell someone that you really care about exactly what you are thinking at times. Which is weird because it really is easier to tell a complete stranger anything. I think that is because there is a 95% that you will most likely not see that person ever again. I am such an outspoken person who does not hold her tongue, but sometimes I feel like I am a little to blunt and I am not sure about how that affects my friends. But it's weird how I can be so blunt with my friends, but right now when it comes to my boyfriend who is my best friend, it is hard to tell him exactly how I feel. It's just way to complicated!!!
